Acklea Ltd is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to treating all of its employees and job applicants equally without exception.

It is the policy of Acklea Ltd to take all reasonable steps to employ and promote employees on the basis of their abilities and qualifications without regard to race, sex, age, national origin, religion, disability or sexual orientation.

Training, development and promotion will be on the basis of merit and ability alone.

Employees have a duty to co-operate to ensure that this policy is effective and must not harass or intimidate other employees on the grounds of race, sex, religion, age, disability or sexual orientation. Such behaviour will be treated within the disciplinary procedures and may result in dismissal.

The employer and employees should support colleagues who suffer such treatment and employees should speak to the Director if any such suspected acts or practices happen.

 

Environmental Policy Statement


Acklea Ltd is dedicated to improving and sustaining an environmentally friendly produce and workplace for all employees, customers and the general public. With this commitment we hope to play our part in providing a clean and safe environment for future generations to enjoy.
We intend to achieve this by:


  • Complying with all environmental legislations related to Acklea Ltd.
  • Recycling all possible waste, implementing recycling procedures, ensuring that these are maintained and striving to improve our waste management.
  • Continual improvement and prevention of pollution.
  • Giving the necessary training to employees on all environmental aspects relevant to Acklea Ltd.
  • Using suppliers and contractors who endeavour to establish and maintain an environmental policy and who comply with the relevant environmental legislations.
  • Will hold regular review meetings, when environmental objectives and targets will be considered.

 

Quality Policy

Quality plays a pivotal role in every facet of our business and is implemented in every department. The Director and Top Management at Acklea Ltd are commitment to continuous improvements, meeting customer requirements, expectations and deadlines and delivering a high standard service, which we strictly adhere to, of Traffic Management Vehicle; Design, Fabrication, Maintenance and Hire Fleet.
All Health & Safety, Environmental, legal and other requirements applicable to the company will be met at all times.
Any new requirements, legal or other will be discussed and appropriate actions decided within Management Review Meetings.
Quality Objectives for the company will be set at the beginning of each year by the Director and Top Management, these objectives will be discussed, progress reports delivered and objectives reviewed throughout the year within Management Review Meetings.
Acklea Ltd policy is periodically reviewed at Management Review Meetings.  This is to ensure its continual relevance and suitability to the company.

Health & Safety Policy


Acklea Ltd is committed to preventing and minimising the risks of injury and ill health to all employees, customers, contractors, local residents and the general public.

We aim to do this by;

  • Providing, maintaining and continually improving safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all employees and contractors. Acklea Ltd approach will be based on the identification, assessment and control of risks and will be achieved by regular health and safety training, audits, identification and assessments. 
  • Acklea Ltd will comply with all legal and other health and safety requirements.
  • All Acklea Ltd employees must take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others while at work, and co-operate with the company in all related matters.
  • Acklea Ltd will conduct regular Management Review Meetings where Health and Safety objectives, targets, new legislations/requirements, corrective and preventative actions and policy will be discussed and considered.
